2019 年 3 月熱帶氣旋「伊代」兩次登陸莫三比克，在東非各國造成嚴重災情，其中以莫三比克、馬拉威、辛巴威三個國家受災最為嚴重。

根據聯合國統計，目前已有上千人死亡，超過 370 萬人民受到影響，慈濟志工在非洲的援助行動從 3 月 11日開始至今仍持續進行，援助項目有急難發放、教育復校、衛生醫療、援建磚房。

除了在災區第一線救援，全球各地的慈濟志工發起募心募愛行動，已有55個國家地區響應，把愛送進非洲，期待當地居民能夠早日回復生活正軌。

伊代氣旋在這個月14號，重創東非。莫三比克的貝拉市，首當其衝。聯合國世界糧食計畫署署長，親自到當地勘災，目睹災區慘況，也呼籲世界各國，要盡快伸出援手。

各國救難團隊和物資陸續前進伊代氣旋災區，連日來許多架直升機不停來往各地，運送受傷患者到其他地區的醫院治療，也送去許多物資，終於能讓災民有食物吃，和取暖的衣物。
