2019 年 3 月熱帶氣旋「伊代」兩次登陸莫三比克，在東非各國造成嚴重災情，其中以莫三比克、馬拉威、辛巴威三個國家受災最為嚴重。

根據聯合國統計，目前已有上千人死亡，超過 370 萬人民受到影響，慈濟志工在非洲的援助行動從 3 月 11日開始至今仍持續進行，援助項目有急難發放、教育復校、衛生醫療、援建磚房。

除了在災區第一線救援，全球各地的慈濟志工發起募心募愛行動，已有55個國家地區響應，把愛送進非洲，期待當地居民能夠早日回復生活正軌。

慈濟基金會，將在莫三比克，進行大型發放。受到當地超商業者幫忙，集結糧食和生活物資，再由500位志工合作，把物資分裝到水桶，物資準備這幾天，也看到有不少婦女，揹著小孩來幫忙。
