2019 年 3 月熱帶氣旋「伊代」兩次登陸莫三比克，在東非各國造成嚴重災情，其中以莫三比克、馬拉威、辛巴威三個國家受災最為嚴重。

根據聯合國統計，目前已有上千人死亡，超過 370 萬人民受到影響，慈濟志工在非洲的援助行動從 3 月 11日開始至今仍持續進行，援助項目有急難發放、教育復校、衛生醫療、援建磚房。

除了在災區第一線救援，全球各地的慈濟志工發起募心募愛行動，已有55個國家地區響應，把愛送進非洲，期待當地居民能夠早日回復生活正軌。

慈濟志工這兩週陸續勘查了莫三比克布茲鎮的古魯甲、棟貝鎮及雅瑪郡等地的災況，也前往收容中心探視災民，了解他們的物資需求，希望在最短時間內提供災民所需物資。
